After Germany’s scoreless draw against Greece in Thessaloniki, Germany manager Jürgen Klopp spoke to the media about what he saw during this international window. Despite the record (one win, two draws, and a loss), Klopp remains optimistic about the variety of players he fielded over the four matches and what can come as a result.
Klopp’s comments (as recorded by @iMiaSanMia): “We saw many players over these two weeks. Everyone showed what they could do; everyone earned their place. Think of all
the things people said about us — what we can do, what we can’t do. We showed signs that we can do a few things better than people gave us credit for. The door is open to everyone. Wide open.”
Klopp has already stated that he will field a more conventional roster for the final two matchdays of the Nations League group stage next month. Fans could see whether the choice to use two separate rosters for these four matches pays off as early as next month. Hopefully, Klopp will be able to mix and match to find the optimal roster.
