Jayden Quaintance is proof that it’s never too late for certain things in life, like getting your driver’s license.
Quaintance turned 18 back in July, and now he is hitting the road having passed his driver’s test on Thursday.
“I guess I ain’t driving his Maybach no more,” his father, Haminn Quaintance, wrote on Instagram as Jayden exchanged his paperwork for the real thing.
Quaintance and the Wildcats are set to return to campus today ahead of a team retreat this weekend. Classes start on Monday, with
Fall practice starting in September.
The 6-9 forward, who transferred to Kentucky from Arizona State, is recovering from ACL surgery and hopes to be ready for the start of the season in November.
Pope said it’s a “maybe-ish” for him to start playing sometime in late November. When he is cleared to play, Quaintance is going to be an integral part of a Wildcats team that has a legitimate shot of winning the national championship.
