The Steelers added another name to their offseason roster Thursday, signing defensive end Jahvaree Ritzie per a team announcement.
Ritzie went undrafted in 2025 out of North Carolina. As a Tar Heel, he
recorded 40 total tackles and 6.5 sacks in his final collegiate season, along with one incredibly memorable interception:
The 6’4, 294-pound defender ran a five-second 40-yard dash coming out of college, scoring a 9.49 RAS.
Ritzie signed with the New England Patriots following the draft, briefly spending time on the practice squad at the start of the season. Now, he joins the Steelers roster at the start of the team’s 2026 offseason.
