The Miami Dolphins have lost two straight regular season contests to open the Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley era with an 0-2 record. Playing a large part in the disappointing first two games is Miami’s special teams unit coached by Chris Tabor.
On Monday, the Dolphins signed a player Tabor is familiar with off of the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad — linebacker Andre Jones Jr.
Tabor coached Jones in Buffalo last season when he was the Bills’ special teams coordinator for the year. Last season, Jones appeared
in three games for the Bills — recording five total tackles during those contests.
Prior to joining the Bills in his third season in the league, the undrafted linebacker out of Louisianna-Lafayette spent two seasons with the Washington Commanders. According to Pro Football Reference, Jones has played 294 snaps on special teams since entering the National Football League ahead of the 2023 season.
