
Johnathan Rodriguez went 3 for 4 with a walk and a double, Travis Bazzana, Petey Halpin, Will Wilson and George Valera each had two hits, with Bazzana adding two walks, Halpin one walk, and Valera hammering a home run. Joey Cantillo struck out 9 batters in 4 and 2/3rds, but allowed 7 hits and 4 runs with a walk. Triston McKenzie had a scoreless outing but still walked 2 in it.
Joe Lampe went 2 for 4 with a double and a homer and Yorman Gomez
and Steven Perez dominated in the Akron win. Gomez struck out 9 in five one-run innings, allowing only 2 hits and a walk, and Perez struck out three in two innings, allowing one hit.
Jose Devers went 2 for 4 with a double, and Ryan Cesarini added a double while Tyler Naquin got his first affiliated baseball win with a one-run 9th inning.
Jaison Chourio went 3 for 4 with a triple, Matt Wilkinson had his best outing of the year striking out 6 in 7 innings and giving up 1 run.
Riley Nelson went 2 for 4 and Nolan Schubart had two walks and crushed a home run, continuing the nice run for 2025 MLB draftee hitters there. The less we say about the pitching, the better.
