According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Philipp Hinze, RB Leipzig wants Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani to help compensate for the eventual loss of Yan Diomandé, who could move to Real Madrid:
🔴 RB Leipzig’s preferred solution for the attack remains Fisnik Asllani. Potential transfer of the 23-year-old should be viewed independently of Yan Diomande’s possible departure. They play different positions and have completely different profiles. Separate deals.

Asllani
was linked to Bayern Munich last fall, but there is not room for him on the roster with the Bavarians. At RB Leipzig, Asllani would have a much more clear path to playing time and could become an important part of the squad.
Should Diomandé resolve the agency issues that he is dealing with, a move for Asllani could jump to the top of RB Leipzig’s priority list. RB Leipzig is expected to be a top challenger to Bayern Munich is the Bundesliga this season.
