Lineups
Julio Rodríguez is back in the lineup after being left out Tuesday in an abundance of caution — he left his mark on that game anyway, entering in the sixth inning as a pinch-hitter and coming away with a solo homer and the two hardest-hit balls of the evening.
News
J.P. Crawford remains out of the lineup Wednesday, still dealing with wrist soreness. However, manager Dan Wilson hopes another couple of days off can do the trick.
José Ferrer made his third relief appearance since the All-Star break on Tuesday, and though he was able to avoid any damage that came with a leadoff walk of Elly de la Cruz, and the throwing error on a pickoff that advanced him to third, it was the latest instance of control struggles with the sinker.
