Lamine Yamal took to the pitch for the 100th time in La Liga on Saturday evening for Barcelona’s derby clash against Espanyol at Camp Nou.
The teenager has hit his century at the age of just 18 years and 272 days, becoming the youngest player to make 100 appearances in the Spanish top flight.
Yamal beats the record previously held by Real Madrid legend Raul who was 19 years and 284 days when he became a La Liga centurion.
It’s yet another record for Yamal’s growing collection and comes on a day when Barcelona will be hoping to move nine points clear of rivals Real Madrid at the top of the table.
Yamal will also be hoping he can add to his tally of 14 goals and nine appearances in La Liga so far this season.
Barcelona boast an excellent record against Espanyol and are unbeaten in their last 29 LaLiga matches against their local rivals.
