Luka Vuskovic has been making waves in Germany this season with Hamburg and has been one of the breakout stars in the Bundesliga in 2025-26.
The Tottenham loanee is now being linked with a host of clubs ahead of the summer, with a new report claiming Barcelona have been in touch.
Sky Sport Germany say that “initial talks” have already been held with his representatives and that Barca are planning on handing Hansi Flick a new defender this summer.
Hamburg want to keep him but have already admitted it will
be all but impossible.
“Contractually, there’s no chance he’ll stay. It’s purely a loan, and we have no way to tie Luka to HSV long-term,” Hamburg’s Director of Professional Football, Claus Costa, told Sport1.
Vuskovic is due to return to Tottenham in the summer but will know Spurs are in the midst of a difficult time. Defeat to Crystal Palace on Thursday leaves the north Londoners just a point off the relegation zone in the Premier League.
Vuskovic has scored four goals this season, including a backheel in the derby which won the Bundesliga’s Goal of the Yeard Award for 2025. He has also completed 84 per cent of his passes and won 68 per cent of his duels so far this season.
