Bayern Munich fans already know how great Michael Olise is, but not everyone understands or knows just how good the Frenchman has been since joining the Bavarians.
Former Argentina striker Sergio Agüero is expecting France’s young stars — Michael Olise and Rayan Cherki — to stand out at the World Cup.
“I really like Cherki. In France’s last two friendlies, he started one and came off the bench in the other. We’ll have to see how Deschamps sets up the team. France have many options in midfield. Olise
is playing at a very high level and I think he will be one of the revelations of the tournament. It would be interesting to see them playing together from the start,” Agüero told Stake.
Agüero also chimed in to give his take on who will win the Golden Boot — and to no one’s surprise, Argentina’s Lionel Messi is at the top of Agüero’s list.
“It will depend on how far their national team goes because they’ll have more matches to score in. Hopefully it’s Leo, right? On the other hand, (Kylian) Mbappé has already shown his credentials as an International goal scorer. Lamine (Yamal), if he fully recovers. And we shouldn’t forget Harry Kane and (Erling) Haaland, who are tremendous goal scorers,” Agüero said.
So, what do you think? Will Olise be the breakout performer at this World Cup, who becomes a global star? Tell us if you think it will be Olise or someone else in the comments below?
