Tyson Fury is set to earn another life-changing purse for his return to boxing later today (Sat., April 11, 2026) LIVE on Netflix from London, England, but it’s still a massive pay cut from his last two fights with heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Saturday’s main event clash with Arslanbek Makhmudov will mark Fury’s first fight since ending his short-lived retirement back in January. “Gypsy King” is coming off back-to-back losses to the aforementioned Usyk, but he’s still one of the biggest names
in the sport. Fury is also one of the highest-paid names in the sport having walked away with over $100 million for his first fight with “The Cat.” Fury made an additional $85 million in the Usyk rematch.
However, those earnings did take a significant hit after Fury was forced to pay some pretty ridiculous U.K. taxes.
Heading into Saturday’s return to action, Fury is once again expected to earn millions of dollars. It’s just not the type of money he’s seen over his past couple of fights. According to Manchester Evening News and other multiple U.K. news outlets, Fury is expected to walk away with $23.5 million for his main event clash with Makhmudov. That’s a large decrease in guaranteed purse compared to recent payouts, but Fury has to take what he can get (as if $23 million is anything to scoff at).
Makhmudov, on other hand, will make his largest purse ever with a $2.7 million payout. That is considerably more than his previous earnings for his recent decision win over David Allen in Oct. 2025, which was only $350,000. The 36-year-old Russian heavyweight his 21-2 in his professional career, but just 3-2 in his last five outings. The odds will be stacked against him this evening on Netflix.
