Frazer Clarke and Jeamie Tshikeva (TKV) joined talkSPORT today to discuss their upcoming fight on October 25, and both poked a little fun at one another while keeping things respectful. Both fighters admit that while they’ve had words on social media, there’s no real bad blood between them. That, however, doesn’t mean they both won’t be coming to win in violent fashion come fight night.
Clarke on how he’s feeling heading into this fight with Jeamie TKV
“I’ve been out of the ring for a long time. It’s no good when you’re in sport, you want to be in the ring all the time,
especially boxing, you want to keep that consistency going. But it’s been a bit of time so I’ve got an itch and I can’t wait to scratch that itch right on Jeamie’s mush.”
On whether his KO loss to Wardley took anything out of him
“It was a bad shot, a devastating defeat, something which I’ve had to bounce back from but I’ve done that well. I feel good. This is heavyweight boxing. You’re in the land of the giants. If you think that can’t happen to you — like, I probably did think that at one point but guess what, it’s a rude awakening. You make a mistake in this sport, that’s what happens.”
TKV on taking this fight seriously
“You’ve got to deal with the task at hand. If you start overlooking the person in front of you, you’re going to take the fight lightly. I ain’t taking this fight lightly and I’m making sure I’m turning up and I’m making sure I have my hand raised.
“We’re training for whatever happens. If it goes the distance, if it doesn’t, I’m ready for whatever…as long as I have my hand raised at the end of it, that’s all that matters to me.”
