The San Francisco 49ers look to continue their winning ways and remain undefeated at home as they face the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football.
On one side, you have a quarterback two weeks removed from injury, with a full cast of pass-catchers around him. This week, Jayden Daniels will have Stefon Diggs. He’ll also have Chig Okonkwo at tight end, who had four targets for 60 yards last week. Raheem Morris’s secondary will be tested early and often. Deomodore Lenoir looks to recover after
a shaky performance against Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He’ll likely face Terry McLaurin.
They’ll need every point they can get against the NFL’s best offense. Mike Evans has been the best wide receiver in the league. So it’s no surprise that Brock Purdy has leaned heavily on the veteran wideout. The Commanders have been leaky defensively against offenses that are inferior to the 49ers.
The 49ers are scoring in the red zone on nearly 90% of their touchdown drives. That should serve as the difference in what should play out to be a fun matchup between two potent offenses. George Kittle between the 20s. Mike Evans in the red area. And a 49ers mildly sweaty victory.
