The Seattle Seahawks are in the midst of taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and currently hold an early lead thanks to rookie Tory Horton.
After a pair of third down conversions on passes from Sam Darnold to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle found itself within striking distance of the end zone, and that led to a play action dropback and a wide open Tory Horton, who hauled it in for the first score of his career.
Horton, a fifth round pick out of Colorado State, logged 28 snaps in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, but was not targeted on offense, though he did carry the ball on a punt return in his debut.
In addition, the opening drive touchdown is the first time the Seattle offense has found the end zone since the Shane Waldron era in 2023, as the team failed to score even a single opening drive touchdown during the entire duration of the Ryan Grubb era.
