Atalanta head coach Raffaele Palladino knows his squad will have a tough challenge on Tuesday in the Bundesliga, but he cannot help, but appreciate the moment.
“For us, tomorrow will be a magical, beautiful night. It’s a dream to be in the Champions League Round of 16 and face Bayern Munich, one of the best teams in the world. Dreams are there to be lived – we want to compete and make things difficult for Bayern. We’re playing at home and want to repeat the performance we put in against Borussia Dortmund,”
Palladino said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Bayern have very few weaknesses, but we’ve studied them. They have great individual players up front, especially Harry Kane.
“We mustn’t lose our character — we must never lower the pace and we should play our game. This game is a ‘mission impossible’ challenge, but it’s nice to play these kinds of games. We want to play and enjoy it: the boys are focused and calm, and I really liked their attitude.”
Atalanta has enough firepower and guile to threaten Bayern Munich and maybe — just maybe — it is dreaming of working up a little more magic to try and take down another German giant.
