The Miami Dolphins welcomed two new members to the family yesterday when drafting offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor with the twelfth pick in the first round, then taking cornerback Chris Johnson at pick #27. After trading up for Johnson and swapping a 3rd for a 4th, the team now sits with four selections on day two of the 2026 NFL Draft.
With two rounds to cover tonight, draft experts are releasing new mock drafts in an effort to predict how things will play out. Matt Miller of ESPN took a stab at those
predictions this morning. Who does he have the Dolphins selecting?
43. Germie Bernard, WR, Alabama
“The Dolphins made it out of Round 1 without adding a wide receiver, despite it being the team’s biggest need. Bernard is a bit of a gadget guy thanks to his ability to create yards from the backfield or wide receiver, but his big-play ability is sorely needed in Miami.”
After shipping one Alabama receiver — Jaylen Waddle — to Denver this offseason, the team replenishes their Crimson Tide stock by taking Bernard in this scenario. At over 6’1” and weighing in at 206 lbs, his size would fit the Green Bay Packers’ mold for what they look for in a receiver.
