Ronald Acuña hit by pitch in Miami, Brian Snitker ejected

But what is news is that Brian Snitker got run. Snitker was just sitting there, enjoying the afternoon as warnings were issued by both teams.

Well … benches cleared after Ronald Acuña Jr. was hit in the elbow guard by Ryan Gusto on the first pitch since Olson went yard. Benches cleared, conversations happened, warnings were issued and Brian Snitker was ejected for arguing about mutual warnings.

Wow, Brian Snitker ordered a double of the Cuban coffee this morning. Ronald Acuña stayed in the game and scored on the suddenly hot Ozzie Albies’ three-run home run off the foul pole. Ronnie is the designated hitter today, so we don’t know at this point if we will be able to continue in the game. He looked okay. Heated for sure, but okay. But that’s coming from a guy who has never been hit with a fastball on the hands.

Is this intentional? Probably not, but where there’s smoke, there’s firewater. And it did prove combustible today.
