Having won six straight games and four straight against ranked teams, the Crimson Tide (6-1) is one of the hottest teams in the nation. For South Carolina (3-4), there were high hopes that they would be
a College Football Playoff contender this season. However, they have lost four of their last five games with all defeats coming by two or more scores.
This impending match-up is one of the few of which FanDuel did not have a summer preview line spread. Late Sunday, FanDuel released their opening odds of Alabama being favored by 13.5 with an Over/Under of 47.5.
SOUTH CAROLINA
SC quarterback LaNorris Sellers has had a disappointing 2025 campaign. He and his offense are ranked 115th in the nation in scoring with 20.1 points per game. In two instances, the ‘Cocks have scored only one touchdown for the entire game. The last two games have been pretty miserable offense-wise. The defense has fared a little better, averaging 21.7 ppg allowed against FBS opponents.

10/18/25 | Oklahoma | +4.5 / 42.5 | Lost 7-26 | Lost / Under |
From a betting standpoint, South Carolina has been a bit inconsistent, going 3-4 against the spread – most likely because the Gamecocks were a bit overestimated early in the season. For Over/Unders, SC has gone under five times with three being by double digits. The two times they went over were both by a half point.
ALABAMA
Since the season opening defeat to Florida State, the Crimson Tide has been cruising like a well-oiled machine. The offense has been efficient and the defense has been solid. However, they really have not blown any non-ULM team out of the water.

Alabama has covered the spread all but two times. The first non-cover was against FSU. The second was at Mizzou in which the Tide missed out on going over the 3 point spread by a single point. Bama has gone under four straight games and has yet to score 40 or more points against a Power opponent all season. Ty Simpson & Co. average 35.1 ppg, good for 32nd highest. The defense is allowing 17.7 ppg, 22nd best in FBS.
MATH
With an over/under of 47.5 and 13.5 point spread, the final score could look something like BAMA 30, SC 17. Does that sound about right? Check back for any spread or O/U changes.
