The Arizona Cardinals needed every one of those six field goals after maybe the best defensive performance of the Nick Rallis era.
They also needed an egregious call to go their way for once.
And they got all of that to pull out an 18-16 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
The story of the day was the Arizona Cardinals incredible defense, who held the Rams offense coming off four consecutive games of 300-plus yard passing games to less than 300 yards of total offense while forcing a big turnover late.
It
was almost all for nothing though, as the Arizona Cardinals offense was stuck in mud inside the redzone once again.
Luckily, an aggressive and opportunistic defense, and a potent running game did all the heavy lifting today.
The Arizona Cardinals move to 2-4 on the season, and they find themselves out of the NFC cellar.
Now, can they stack games and get a little complimentary football going?
