According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich has registered transfer interest in SL Benfica right-back Daniel Banjaqui:
🚨🔴 EXCL | FC Bayern have added Daniel #Banjaqui to their list for the summer.
The 17 y/o promising right-back is under contract at Benfica until 2027. Bayern are interested, with the player and his management informed.
Bayern want to sign a new right. Givairo Read remains the priority target, but no agreements so far.

Banjaqui, 17, would be
an extraordinarily young addition to the Bayern roster. Per FBREF, the Portuguese youth international has only two starts under his belt in the Primeira Liga this season, and the Bundesliga would be a considerable step up — if he projects to join the senior side right away. There is precedent for that: Mathys Tel had all of 56 Ligue 1 minutes for Rennes before joining Julian Nagelsmann’s side in the summer of 2022, but in retrospect, it was perhaps a move that came with too much expectation too soon.
The Bavarians do have Konrad Laimer entrenched as the starter and a capable rotational option in Josip Stanišić. So perhaps Banjaqui could offer upside without the pressure of playing right away — or even be signed to go on loan in his first season. It would not be surprising, however, to see Bayern prioritize more experience and land a player like Read instead.
