I’ve been waiting for the official word that Alejandro Kirk has been added to the roster, with Tyler Heineman getting the DFA treatment. I feel bad for him (and, of course, there is a chance they will do something else).
And I understand it is possible that Daulton Varsho might get put on the IL and that Davis Schneider could be called up. I’d guess that Straw and Lukes would platoon in center field if Varsho does go on the IL.
But I’m running out for lunch, and I think I’m going to watch the first
half of the Canada game out among people.
I’m very hopeful that Canada will get past the first round this year, but today’s game will tell us if that’s just a pipe dream or if it is a real possibility. I was talking to a tennis pro who has just moved here from Peru and he was telling me he thinks that the Canada team is very good. Of course, maybe not good enough to keep up with some of those South American teams.
