Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka will close out his career in Bavaria in just a few weeks and that fact has started to hit the locker room hard.
For his pal, Joshua Kimmich, the time has become emotional as the team will lose one of its locker room leaders and a key player for some of the greatest teams in the club’s history.
“You can tell he’s realizing that his time here is slowly coming to an end. It’s emotional for everyone, including me. We’ve been playing together at the club for eight
years — that’s quite a long time when you consider that you have around 15 years as a professional player,” Kimmich said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Parting ways is never easy and it appears that the gravity of Goretzka’s exit is start to be felt. Can the Bavarians send Goretzka off as a treble-winner? That will most definitely be the goal.
