Bayern Munich traditionally spends every summer traveling around the globe to grow and accommodate the club’s international brand. In 2025, Bayern spent extensive time in the United States for the inaugural version of the expanded FIFA Club World Cup.
It has also become common practice for the top European clubs to spend the winter holiday training period in a warmer climate to maximize fitness and satisfy a different set of fans and sponsors.
According to Philipp Kessler (via @iMiaSanMia), Bayern
has already made a decision for the upcoming winter window.
Just like last season, Bayern will not hold a winter training camp abroad this season. Due to the tight schedule in a World Cup year, the team will have the short preparation for the second half of the season in Munich in order to save the players the stress of travel and time/temperature difference. Bayern’s new partner Emirates would have been happy to fly the team to Dubai, but that’s not contractually mandatory.
Similar to last season, Bayern will only have three weeks between the matches against Heidenheim (December 20th) and Wolfsburg (January 10th).
