This is a big one, no doubt. Despite United’s struggles (long may the continue), they’ve held Liverpool to a draw in their last two
Anfield visits, and would be made up to once again deny the Reds all three points on their home turf. Liverpool, coming off a rare three consecutive defeats, are in desperate need to get back to their winning ways.
So, it’s hard to see a result that isn’t a big win or another devastating blow for Liverpool. Win and order is restored and we can forget that blip and kick on with the season. A loss or draw on the other hand will only further the current crisis club narrative, and make it more difficult for Arne Slot to right the ship.
