Class of 2028 standout Boogie Cook was in Lexington this weekend for his unofficial visit with Kentucky and was also in attendance for Big Blue Madness on Saturday.
The 6-foot-6, 175-pound small forward from Christian Academy of Louisville is one of the top young players in the state and is quickly becoming a name to remember for Kentucky basketball fans. While it’s still early in his recruitment, Cook has already started to draw interest from major programs such as Kentucky, Auburn, Ohio State, and Western
Kentucky.
At this time, Cook holds offers from Virginia Tech, Kansas State, and Indiana, which is an impressive start for the Louisville native who’s only a sophomore in high school. His size, versatility, and scoring ability on the wing have made him a player to watch as his game continues to develop.
Although no timeline has been set for his recruitment, Cook’s visit to Lexington could be an important early step in building a connection with Kentucky’s coaching staff. As he continues to grow both physically and as a player, expect Cook’s name to rise up recruiting boards nationwide in the coming years.
With the energy of Big Blue Madness on full display, this weekend offers Cook a first-hand look at what makes Kentucky basketball one of the most passionate programs in the country.
