Two Terps, Taylor Rech and Maddie Komoroski, were named to the Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch list Tuesday, the conference announced.
Rech, a senior, is one of the program’s lead vault and floor competitors. Last year, she earned scores of 9.850 and 9.825 on vault and floor, respectively, at the Big Ten Championships. Her career-high 9.900 on vault in April tied Maryland’s third-best NCAA Regional vault score.
Meanwhile, Komoroski, who is also a senior, is one of the team’s best beam and floor competitors.
Last year, she had an extremely successful NCAA Regional in Pennsylvania, posting a career-high 9.950 score on beam. That score was Maryland’s best-ever in the Regional beam event, and it earned her NCAA Pennsylvania Regional Co-Champion honors.
