Uli Hoeneß has offered an extremely positive update on Harry Kane’s contract situation at Bayern Munich.
Speaking about the ongoing discussions, Hoeneß said all is well on that front.
“I know that Max Eberl and Jan Dreesen have a very close relationship with the family. His father and brother are his agents, and they started initial talks some time ago. None of this is new to me. These discussions usually take a few weeks or a few months, but they are being conducted on a very good personal level.
I’m quite optimistic that Harry will extend his contract with us, which would of course be a blessing for us,” Hoeneß told Sky Germany / RTL (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The key takeaway is clear — Bayern Munich are already in talks with Kane’s representatives, and the negotiations appear to be progressing in a very positive atmosphere.
Kane’s current contract runs until 2027, but Bayern Munich have made no secret of their desire to keep their star striker in Munich beyond that point.
For Hoeneß to publicly express optimism about an extension is certainly notable. Kane has delivered extraordinary numbers since joining Bayern Munich, and retaining him would give Vincent Kompany a world-class focal point for the next phase of the club’s project.
If Bayern Munich can get Kane to commit his future beyond 2027, it would be a massive statement of intent. As Hoeneß put it, having Kane extend would be a “blessing” for Bayern Munich.
