Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano are back on May 16 and you can watch the brand new trailer for the event below.
On Thursday, Most Valuable Promotions released the official trailer for its first-ever MMA event, headlined by Rousey vs. Carano, set to take place at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and air live on Netflix. The card also features former UFC star Nate Diaz taking on the face of BKFC Mike Perry, and former UFC heavyweight champion fighting Philipe Lins.
The slick minute-long video package highlights
all three fights, with women’s MMA pioneers Rousey and Carano leading the way as they are set to make their comebacks after lengthy breaks from competition. Rousey, the once-dominant UFC bantamweight champion, has not fought since 2016, Carano since 2009.
Diaz and Perry also make a comeback of sorts, with both fighters back competing under MMA rules after pursuing other combat sports opportunities. And Ngannou makes his first post-PFL appearance, stepping into the MVP MMA cage as a massive favorite over 2018 PFL heavyweight tournament champion Philipe Lins.
