Now that Week 4 of the 2026 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What differentiates these rankings from all others is that they’re THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. Hard to believe, I know. But it’s true. Let’s take a look at how all 32 teams stack up.
BLG’S WEEK 5 NFL POWER RANKINGS
– Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 1) – The Chiefs are the only remaining undefeated team in the AFC and just one of three teams yet to lose a game this season.
With the Chargers up next, they’re probably going to reach 5-0.
– San Francisco 49ers (LW: 3) – The Niners have a strong case as the NFL’s top team. They have played an easier schedule than the Chiefs have, though. Interested to see how they fare against Seattle in Week 5. Should be a great game.
– Seattle Seahawks (LW: 4) – The Seahawks rebounded from a bad Week 3 loss. Now we’ll see if the reigning Super Bowl champs can claim the top spot in the NFC West away from the 49ers.
– Baltimore Ravens (LW: 5) – Lamar Jackson’s injury raises concerns but this offense looks pretty good when he’s available. It remains to be seen if the Cam Jurgens trade will be worth it for the Ravens, who were desperate to find a solution at center.
– Buffalo Bills (LW: 2) – The Bills are pretty good while also being slightly unserious. Losing to the Pats at home for the second year in a row?
– Minnesota Vikings (LW: 6) – They’re probably not going to be able to count on their defense to keep carrying them to wins all season long. The offense being bad will eventually catch up to them. For now, though, being undefeated is fun.
– Chicago Bears (LW: 7) – Ben Johnson won a game with his third-string quarterback in Week 3 and his second-string quarterback in Week 4. The Bears are a real power in the NFC with him at the helm.
– Los Angeles Rams (LW: 8) – They came dangerously close to dropping to 1-3 with a loss to the undermanned Eagles. But they ultimately got the win to keep their season afloat. And Myles Garrett could be back as soon as next week.
– Dallas Cowboys (LW: 12) – The Cowboys’ offense is capable of lifting their defense. See: Dallas scoring 28 second half points to prove they’re the superior NFL team in Texas.
– Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 14) – The Jags rank second in point differential and second in DVOA this season. They’re a pretty good team.
– Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 15) – The only team in the NFL that’s undefeated against the spread this season at 4-0. They lost to the Chiefs, yes, but they gave the top team in the league a run for their money. They deserve credit for that.
– Detroit Lions (LW: 9) – Detroit’s defense is a major problem that could prevent them from seriously contending for a championship. Their ceiling might be a wild card team.
– Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 10) – Two straight losses after starting 2-0 but the Bengals should bounce back against the Dolphins.
– New England Patriots (LW: 17) – Big win in Buffalo to keep them alive for the AFC East crown.
– Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 11) – One on hand, this placement feels too high. There isn’t much that the Eagles do well. But they did come very close to beating the Rams to reach 3-1. But they didn’t. And now they’re without Lane Johnson as they deal with a bunch of injury absences. More losing is likely on the way.
– Denver Broncos (LW: 13) – Sean Payton is reportedly going to get more involved in the play-calling after some Davis Webb struggles. Not sure why you’d ever go away from Sean Payton running things.
– New York Giants (LW: 19) – For the first time since the prehistoric era, the Giants are first in the NFC East! It probably won’t last for too long. But they do have some more winnable games coming up.
– Carolina Panthers (LW: 24) – Bryce Young is balling. He leads the NFL in passing yards and has a 100.0 passer rating so far.
– Atlanta Falcons (LW: 25) – Turns out that there’s a difference between starting Cooper Rush and starting Michael Penix. The Falcons are alive.
– New Orleans Saints (LW: 16) – After an exciting start to the season, the Saints have cooled off. Maybe not a team on the rise after all.
– Indianapolis Colts (LW: 20) – Not sure we learned much from the Colts beating Athan Kaliakmanis.
– Cleveland Browns (LW: 26) – Todd Monken sure isn’t tanking.
– Green Bay Packers (LW: 23) – The Packers beat a team starting an undrafted rookie free agent quarterback … by three points. They’re so going to lose to the Bears this week.
– Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 18) – The Aaron Rodgers-Mike McCarthy reunion seems to be going swimmingly. Or maybe not.
– Washington Commanders (LW: 21) – Washington was down to their third-string rookie quarterback, who actually didn’t even play all that poorly relative to expectation, in a Week 4 loss. We’ll see if Jayden Daniels’ return can give this team a spark in Week 5. They need to win to avoid dropping to 0-3 in division games.
– Houston Texans (LW: 22) – The Texans are 0-3 in one-score games this season. They’re not good but they also have some bad luck working against them.
– Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 27) – Todd Bowles is currently on track to be the first head coach fired this season. The Bucs are staring 0-5 in the face as 8.5-point road underdogs to Dallas in Week 5.
– New York Jets (LW: 28) – The Jets have the best point differential (-8) of any team with a losing record. Perhaps they’re one of the better bad team?
– Arizona Cardinals (LW: 29) – The Cards are 0-3 since beating the Bolts in Week 1.
– Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 30) – People were excited to see Justin Herbert teamed up with Mike McDaniel. Hasn’t been going well!
– Tennessee Titans (LW: 31) – The Titans are winless but, hey, they’re 2-2 against the spread! That’s … something?
– Miami Dolphins (LW: 32) – With the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select …
