Football:
FSU’s schedule breaks favorably if they can pull off an upset or two but in six of the lines released so far Florida State is an underdog in five of those games:
- New Mexico State -28.5
- SMU +2.5
- Alabama +15.5
- Miami +16.5
- Clemson +1.5
- Florida +4.5
The road to respectability will be hard-traveled if Vegas is any indication so far. That does not include Louisville as FSU has one of the toughest October stretches in the country.
One step at a time indeed:
All Sports:
Martay Barnes will soon don the garnet and gold; he has some Brandon Jennings
to his game:
It was a tough return from injury for John Abraham but he was still elite on the year which is why is he a stopper of the year finalist:
Next week 15 ‘Noles will represent Florida State at the Outdoor NCAA National Championships:
Recruiting:
FSU is hosting a number of important targets this weekend with maybe the most important being four-star WR Sean Green out of Kingsland, Georgia. A more detailed breakdown of this weekend’s visitors will come a little bit later today but FSU has invested a lot into Green’s recruitment and needs to close.
Three-star QB commit Logan Flaherty is recruiting him already:
He’s on Ohio State’s campus for an official visit this weekend but there’s a good chance that FSU could land four-star Louisiana RB Jayden Miles fairly soon; I hope it comes to fruition because I think he’s much better than his four-star 90 grade from 247Sports.
Pro Noles:
Buster Davis has been named the head coach of Columbus North high school.
Ian Rapaport largely shut down rumors of a Josh Sweat trade to the Packers but he’s reportedly not happy in Arizona; Sweat is coming off a career best 12 sacks last year in Arizona.
