What is the story about?

The 3-0 Buffalo Bills are set to take on their bitter rivals, the 1-2 New England Patriots, in Week 4. It was much more difficult than many expected for Buffalo to knock off the winless Los Angeles Chargers, but they persevered and found a way to win when things weren’t going to plan for quarterback Josh Allen and company.

Meanwhile, New England and their fans are reeling at the moment, with the team one game out of last place in the AFC East and having scored the same number of points as the win-starved

Miami Dolphins. Both teams are capturing tons of headlines at the moment, but for very different reasons.

To little surprise, yet still interesting, much of the discourse centers on quarterbacks Drake Maye and Allen. People are wondering what’s wrong with Maye, and if Allen is injured. Now entering year three, there’s plenty of film available on Maye, while head coach Joe Brady doesn’t seem to be massively concerned about Allen’s status.

NFL oddsmakers seem to believe the Bills will get things sorted out this week after a tough go against the Chargers. It also appears that they think New England has some issues to sort out before consideration as a serious threat.

Entering their Week 4 matchup and final tilt in a three-game homestand at the new Highmark Stadium, the Bills opened as 6.5-point favorites (-6.5 | -118) over the Patriots (+6.5 | -104) at FanDuel Sportsbook. As of publishing, the moneyline was set at -330 for Buffalo and +270 for New England, with an over/under of O/U 48.5 (-110). It’s a line that may surprise some given the Patriots’ 2025 season that saw them reach the Super Bowl (and fall flat on their faces).
