Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here are the stories you need to know as the Giants look to rebound against the Tennessee Titans.
The Giants’ major questions run deeper than injuries after blowout loss to Rams | The Athletic
The Giants are supposed to be better equipped to weather that type of adversity because they have veteran backup Jameis Winston, who recently signed a two-year, $13 million extension. But the Giants got the version of Winston that showed why he went from No. 1 pick to backup. With Winston spraying the ball all over the field Monday night, the offense never found any
rhythm.
The search for schematic answers likely began as Harbaugh watched the game tape on the flight home. He didn’t wait that long to take the pulse of his players, as he made his way around the postgame locker room and huddled with small groups. As discouraging as Monday’s result was, players vowed not to let it carry over. “For us to come in here and lose this game, obviously it sucks,” right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor said. “But you get punched in the face, you’ve got to get back up and keep going because we’ve still got 15 more rounds.”

That uncertainty could follow the Giants into the 2027 draft. If they struggle without Dart and land a high first-round pick, Harbaugh and Schoen could face a decision they had hoped was behind them: Stick with a quarterback whose promise they have seen but whose development remains incomplete, or consider starting over.
The question would not simply be whether Dart is talented enough. It would be whether they have seen enough to commit to him — and whether they can trust him to remain on the field.
Six things we learned from Giants’ Week 2 loss: The scary Jameis Winston Experience will now make or break season | New York Post
It’s time for Jameis Winston to show if he’s worth that new extension. If Jaxson Dart is going to be sidelined for two to four weeks – the typical recovery timeline experts associate with what the Giants fear is a sprained MCL – then there are worse times for it to happen than against the softest part of the schedule.

Winston said Los Angeles got ahead and then knew a pass was coming, making the passing game difficult.
“They knew a pass was coming. When you know a pass is coming — it’s very challenging to throw the ball when (they) know that a pass is coming,” Winston said. “We have just got to execute better. We are focusing on being in better down the distance. We went in third-and-long a lot, so I have to execute better on first and second down… Pressure is for the unprepared. You keep preparing. You be ready. So, whatever happens, happens.”
Malik Nabers’ shoulder injury explained: Why Giants should be concerned about WR | NJ.com
“Which means he’s done this before, allowing it to be much easier to pop out (as you can see by the benign play it happened on),” Dr. Jesse Morse wrote on X. “The question becomes: How much new damage did this cause?” This could lead to him playing next week with a brace, him missing a couple weeks — or possibly worse (if fracture. The adrenaline was pumping, so that allowed him to get through the game. But now that the pain and swelling has started, getting the range of motion back might be challenging.”
Odell Beckham Jr. was on the field for three plays on Monday night | Pro Football Weekly
Beckham was on the field for only three snaps. Out of 58 total offensive plays. By way of comparison, Malachi Fields had 47 snaps. Malik Nabers played 43. Darnell Mooney was on the field for 42. Even Braxton Berrios — primarily a special-teamer — had five offensive snaps. In Week 1, Beckham was on the field for 11 of 69 snaps. He has been targeted zero times, through two games.

New York Giants: D. This was a nightmare loss for the Giants, who had to play nearly the entire game without Jaxon Dart, who suffered a knee injury in the first quarter. It one thing became clear from this game, it’s that the offense will be in some serious trouble if Dart is out for an extended period of time. Once Jamies Winston came in, the Giants’ couldn’t run the ball and he couldn’t complete a pass, which is how this game turned into a blowout. The bigger issue for the Giants might be their defense. After an impressive Week 1 performance, things got ugly in L.A. They couldn’t cover Davante Adams and they got steamrolled by a Rams offense that rushed for 165 yards. The Giants also struggled to put pressure on Matthew Stafford, who took advantage of that by picking them apart. The loss of Dart hurts much more than losing the game and the Giants will now cross their fingers and hope their QB won’t have to miss very much time.
