All eyes are on Conor McGregor tonight (Sat., July 11, 2026) ahead of his highly-anticipated UFC 329 return versus former foe Max Holloway.
But will he win?
It’s been five years since McGregor’s last appearance, a disastrous leg break that ended his trilogy with Dustin Poirier. Performance enhancing drugs or not, that’s a tall task for the Irish superstar, who is the betting underdog in his comeback matchup. However, those odds have narrowed a bit recently, as late money continues to push McGregor into
more reasonable territory.
Here on MMAmania.com, readers are fairly certain that McGregor is in for a rough return. At the start of the week, we ran a poll in The Feed asking our community to predict that matchup. In total, 78% of the MMAmania community expect Holloway to defeat McGregor, and 59% expect him to do so via knockout.
As for the opinions of the writers on this main event? My full analysis is right here, but here’s my prediction in a sentence: Holloway via cardio! MMAmania’s own Jesse Holland is also predicting Holloway via knockout, and Tim Edwards recommends a bet on the “Blessed” money line.
The great thing about MMA, however, is that experts are often wrong and anything can happen.
