The Green Bay Packers generally work out players on their Tuesday “off” day, but the team got an early start this week by bringing in three defenders on Monday: cornerback Miles Battle, cornerback Elijah Culp and defensive lineman Isaiah Iton, per the NFL transaction wire.
Miles Battle, CB
Battle is a former undrafted
player who has spent the last three seasons with three teams: the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and most recently the Miami Dolphins, which is functionally Packers South for the foreseeable future. The former wide receiver moved to cornerback in his second year with Ole Miss before transferring to Utah for his final year of college football.
In the NFL, he’s played in six regular season games — all with the New England Patriots — which resulted in 47 defensive snaps and 56 special teams snaps.
Battle has worked out with the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills since being let go by the Dolphins.
Elijah Culp, CB
Culp is an undrafted rookie who played for four different college programs over six seasons (Austin Peay, Troy, Charlotte and James Madison). He originally signed with the Arizona Cardinals, coached by Matt LaFleur’s brother, before signing with the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad in late September. He was released by the Colts last week and previously had a workout with the New York Giants prior to signing with Indianapolis.
Isaiah Iton, DL
Iton is a well-traveled defensive lineman for a player who just turned 25 years old. He played at four colleges (Northern Colorado, Hutchinson C.C., Ole Miss and Rutgers) along with the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots. He’s an undersized defensive lineman and was waived with an injury designation by the Patriots the last two summers.
In 2025, Iton was waived with a hip injury by New England. In July, he was re-signed by the Patriots, who then waived him again with an injury settlement in 2026. This appears to be Iton’s first visit since he was let go by New England. Iton is fairly undersized at 277 pounds. Like Culp, Iton has not yet played in an NFL regular-season game.

The Packers’ practice squad is currently full, but the team should be able to elevate one player to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, if needed, because of Javon Hargrave’s torn Achilles tendon.

Either way, Green Bay will need to make some sort of corresponding roster move to sign any of these players. The team will practice next on Wednesday as they prepare for the Dallas Cowboys.
