The Wisconsin Badgers saw their season come to an end last week at the hands of a very talented High Point team, going home early in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
That put an end to a fun and energetic team that had seemed to find its groove over the second half of the season,
as Wisconsin fell short in the final seconds on a go-ahead layup to lose 83-82 last Thursday.
This year’s Badgers team wasn’t nearly as complete as last year’s squad, which earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament, especially on the defensive end, but they still provided for a lot of memories, most notably with the team’s top wins this season.
Wisconsin had one of the best resumes in the country with wins over Michigan, Purdue, Michigan State, and Illinois (2x) this season, which helped them earn a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament despite an inconsistent start to the year and some poor losses.
With the season over, let’s reminisce on some of the best moments of the year in our weekly Reacts poll and debate which was the best moment of the season.
Was it the Michigan upset in January? The Illinois overtime victory in February on the road? The thrashing of Michigan State at home right after? The season-finale against Purdue on the road? Or perhaps the second Illinois overtime victory in the Big Ten Tournament?
