The San Francisco Giants will be at home this weekend, which means it’s time to take a look at what Oracle Park has on deck for anyone planning to head to a game.
The Jung Hoo Crew giveaway is ongoing, so if you want to receive the shirt, make sure you purchase the tickets specifically for that section. That is in effect for all weekend home series, which we are starting to run out of. So if you’ve been thinking about getting your hands on one of the shirts, now might be a good
time!
Friday night will feature a Pokémon GO Drone Show, which is super exciting to me even though I will not be able to go. During the game, Pokémon GO players can find exclusive game features by exploring Oracle Park. Raids, routes, timed research, and in-game items are available to trainers in attendance. And after the game, all fans can enjoy a drone show that will light up the sky with Pokémon themed displays. If they do a Snorlax one, I expect someone to send me a picture or video please.
Saturday is Black Heritage Day at Oracle Park. The first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive a Black Heritage Jersey, presented by Cutwater. Fans are encouraged to stay in their seats for the on-field festivities, beginning at 3:45 p.m., as there will be performances and presentations before and during the game.
Sunday’s game features a Special Event for Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day. Fans with special event tickets will receive a Giants beanie featuring the logo for Buster Posey’s charity BP28. Partial proceeds will go to BP28 and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
For everyone else, there will be a roped hat giveaway to the first 15,000 fans in attendance. It’s a white hat with a black brim and an orange SF logo, featuring an orange rope below the logo. It’s pretty snazzy.
As usual, I always recommend entering via the Marina Gate entrance if you’re trying to get your hands on a giveaway item. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s the best bet in my experience.
