It’s a big day for Daily Norseman. Today, the SB Nation app is live, and it’s the best way to follow the Vikings.

A year ago, we made some big changes to our community, including offering fewer ads and the addition of the Feed. Today, we want to give you even more community tools and fewer ads with this app. It will make starting and joining conversations here as simple as posting to your favorite social media platform.

Why should I download the app?
The app will be the easiest way to interact with everybody else in the community:
- All your favorite teams’ posts in one dedicated feed
- Notifications when someone replies or recs your post
- New game thread section, with an experience that’s smoother and faster
- Fewer ads
- Easily navigating between your favorite communities with a swipe
It will be the fastest way to read every post from our community.
I mentioned earlier in the preseason about why we’re only doing one Open Thread on game days now, and this app is a part of the reason why. From testing it out during the preseason (since I was able to do so), the game day experience really does flow quite smoothly, and by keeping everything in one place, you can really feel the flow during the games rather than having to stop and search for a new thread. There’s a separate “game day” tab that keeps all of the game threads for the communities you follow in one place, so it’s much easier to find them as well.
As someone who generally hasn’t used the mobile site a lot during the games because I’m busy doing a few other things, it’s been pretty helpful, and I hope that you’ll feel the same way about it once the games start on 13 September.
How do I download the app?
Head over to the Apple store or the Android store to download the app. Today, the app is only available for US users.
