The Denver Broncos are signing veteran safety Taylor Rapp, multiple outlets reported Thursday.
Rapp, 28, sustained a season-ending knee injury in Week 6 last season while playing for the Buffalo Bills.
A second-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2019, Rapp helped the team win Super Bowl LVI.
He has 12 interceptions and 488 tackles in 93 career games (72 starts) with the Rams (2019-22) and Bills (2023-25).
--The Cleveland Browns signed Drew Biber and placed fellow tight end Jack Stoll on injured reserve.
Biber is an undrafted rookie out of Minnesota who was released by the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 12.
Stoll, 28, has 28 catches for 239 yards and one touchdown in 76 games (32 starts) with the Philadelphia Eagles (2021-24), Miami Dolphins (2024) and New Orleans Saints (2025).
--The San Francisco 49ers re-signed veteran running back Khalil Herbert to a one-year contract and placed running back Patrick Taylor Jr. on season-ending injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.
Herbert, 28, was brought back after being released on Monday. He played seven games for the New York Jets last season and rushed 16 times for 52 yards and caught one pass for 4 yards. He has 1,957 career rushing yards and nine TDs on 416 carries and 54 receptions for 316 yards and two TDs in 63 games (13 starts) for the Chicago Bears (2021-24), Cincinnati Bengals (2024) and Jets.
Taylor, 28, re-signed with the 49ers as a free agent in March after spending the 2025 campaign on injured reserve. He played in 13 games (one start) for San Francisco in 2024, with 39 carries for 183 yards and one touchdown, and three receptions for 25 yards.
For his career, Taylor has 104 carries for 444 yards and two TDs, and 17 catches for 94 yards in 47 games (one start) for the Green Bay Packers (2021-23) and 49ers.
