The two-match Test series between India and West Indies culminated on Tuesday, October 14 with the home side coming out victorious by seven-wicket margin at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Coming into the second Test after registering a dominant win by an inning and 140 runs margin, the Indian team continued their blistering performance and beat the Windies to claim the series 2-0.
With this, while the Indian team extended their Test series winning record against West Indies, they joined South Africa to have registered most consecutive Test series victory against the Caribbean side (10 wins). The win also proved pivotal seeing the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle, which commenced in July with India’s five-match Test series against England

Claiming the two Tests, which brought 24 points to their name, India have now secured the third place. Having played seven Test matches so far in the ongoing cycle, India have won four, lost two and drawn one. They sit third after Australia and Sri Lanka, having 52 points and a point percentage of 61.90.
While Australia comfortably sits at the top with three wins in as many Tests, Sri Lanka are in second place with one win and one draw in two matches, followed by India. England, who will look to get their hands of Ashes series, starting next month, sit at fourth place with two victories, two defeats and one draw from five games followed by Bangladesh occupying the fifth place with one draw and one loss from two matches.
