The Indian cricket team won the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) for the first-time in their history earlier this month after defeating South Africa in the final by 52 runs at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi
Mumbai. Since then, there has been a big spark in ticket sales for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England from June 12 to July 5, not just for the matches involving Team India but across the board.
Notably, as per the director of the Women’s T20 World Cup, Beth Barrett-Wild, the demand for the tickets of next year’s tournament has increased following India’s Women’s Cricket World Cup title victory in the recently concluded 2025 edition. The report from BBC Sport states that the overall ticket sales have increased by 171% while for India’s matches, it has gone up by 265% compared to last week.

The best-selling matches of the tournament involve India from Group 1, including their battles against South Africa at Old Trafford in Manchester on June 21 and Australia at Lord’s in London on June 28. Beth Barrett-Wild was quoted as saying on the matter, “Demand for tickets to next year's ICC Women's T20 World Cup in England & Wales has been incredibly high from the outset, propelled by a stellar summer of women's sport which culminated in a thrilling finish to the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India earlier this month.”
“We're thrilled to see India Women's incredible win prompting a significant spike in ticket sales for next summer's tournament, underlining its truly global appeal, and demonstrating how women's cricket is breaking firmly into the mainstream,” she also added. Apart from Lord’s and Old Trafford, the likes of Edgbaston in Birmingham, Headingley in Leeds, The Oval in London, and the County Ground in Bristol will also host the T20 World Cup matches.
The final of the tournament will be held at Lord’s in London on July 5, 2026, while both the semi-finals are going to take place in the same city at The Oval.
