Yashasvi Jaiswal after a wonderful century in the series decider against South Africa is on a break after not being picked in the T20I series. His next assignment will be the New Zealand tours India in January
while he is also expected to play some domestic cricket for Mumbai this month. In the meantime, the young left hand opener was seen in several media appearances, sharing his experiences and doing fun interviews. In one of the interviews, he sat with Vimal Kumar for Crex for a quick rapid-fire round and made some exciting choices, upon being put in the spot to answer a rapid-fire. When asked to tell one thing that the fans don’t know about him, the Indian opener revealed his hobby of cooking food, while also speaking about his Rajasthan Royals (RR) opening partner, the 14-year-old calling him youngster.

With the South Africa ODI series done and dusted, Jaiswal is no longer expected to play any international match for the rest of the calendar year. However, he has informed the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) about his availability for the Syed Mushtaq Ali knockout matches. Jaiswal has had a prolific year with the Indian Cricket team and Is the third leading run-scorer across formats in 2025, with 916 runs in 23 innings, averaging 41.63, behind Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill’s 1736 and KL Rahul’s 1180 runs.
