Savinho, a 21-year-old Brazilian international plays on the wings for Premier League giants Manchester City. He joined City in the year 2024 after impressive performances at Girona where he was on loan from the Ligue 1 club Troyes. It took him sometime to establish himself in the starting line-up considering City’s attacking depth, however, when he was given chances where he made the most out of them.
The 21-year-old Brazilian international made almost 48 appearances for Man City, in which he scored a total of 16 goals and provided three assists. These turned out to be valuable contributions for Pep Guardiola’s side which helped them finish inside the top four and earn them a qualification to this season’s Champions League. Impressed with his performances,
many teams have been eyeing on a move for him, especially Tottenham who tried to sign him in this summer transfer window. However, Pep Guardiola has made his stance clear that he wants Savinho to continue at Man City.

Savinho’s current contract at Manchester City expires in the year 2029, however the Cityzens are reportedly set to offer him a longer contract which will be valid until the summer of 2031. Pep Guardiola is a massive admirer of the intensity Savinho brings to the team and has assured the 21-year-old that he will be a huge part of Man City’s future.
Speaking about Savinho, Pep Guardiola stated, “We were so clear we wanted to keep him... Maybe the offer was not good enough for the club”. The City manager further added, “at his age, last season he played a lot, can play on both sides, has pace that is unbelievable. He’s very good!”. Man City are expected to make an official announcement in the upcoming days.
