Godlike Esports has bid farewell to the IGL Punk and support player Simp following the team's poor performance in the BGMI Showdown (BMSD) 2025. The team was not only unable to win the BMSD in Hyderabad
but also failed to qualify for the highly anticipated BGMI International Cup 2025. Notably, the Godlike Esports retained their two star assaulters, Jonathan and Admino, and according to the reports, Manya will be the new captain of the team.
GodLike Esports bids farewell to Punk and Simp
After finishing 13th in the BMSD 2025 and also failing to qualify for the BMIC 2025, Godlike Esports bids farewell to their captain, Ashutosh "Punk" Singh, and Kaushal "Simp" Jaiswal on Monday, 13 October 2025. The team retained their two frontline assaulters, Jonathan and Admino.
Punk joined Godlike Esports on 2 August 2024 and took the leadership role in the BGMS 2024. Under his leadership, Godlike Esports qualified for the official events finals for the first time. Punk led Godlike to the two podiums in Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 and Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2025.
On the other hand, Simp played a crucial role as a support player on the team. His contribution was instrumental in securing podium finishes in BMPS 2024 and BGIS 2025.
Manya expected to join Godlike Esports as IGL
According to "letsgrowesports," Mohammad "Manya" Raja is expected to join Godlike Esports as a new IGL. Notably, Manya is regarded as one of the best IGLs in the BGMI esports. As captain, he has won many major trophies like BGMI Masters Series Season 3, Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2023, Skyesports Championship 5.0, BGMI Masters Series Season 1, Skyesports Champions Series, Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown, and The Esports Club BGMI Invitational Season 4.
However, Manya and Godlike Esports have yet to confirm the news. Fans are expected to get the confirmation after the BGMI International Cup 2025.
