With December offering a possible window for the IPL 2026 mini-auction, the venue is still under talks. However, an official confirmation regarding the dates as well as the venue hasn’t been done yet, but reports reveal that the franchises have been hinted about the auction venue moving out of India. If the reports are to be believed, the gulf region could be a potential venue with Abu Dhabi in UAE, Oman and Qatar in the Middle-East.
The recent development is expected to be the clear departure from the BCCI’s earlier plans, when they were speculating of hosting it in India. But challenges in securing an ideal venue due to the festivities and wedding season.
