F5s before completing the pin. Cena’s humiliating defeat made his fans glum. With the objective of delivering a cherishing moment to his supporters, Cena requested WWE Chief Content Officer (COO) Triple H to conduct a rematch with AJ Styles in the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel. WWE’s COO Triple H confirmed the match will be held in Perth, Australia for one last time. Taking to Instagram, Triple H dropped a poster which raises the excitement of WWE fans.
Styles accepted the challenge from Cena while John Cena expressed gratitude to Triple H for accepting his request. Cena also praised WWE for understanding the demand of the audience. The rivalry between Cena and Styles started in 2016, when the latter won the two wrestlers’ first-ever singles match at Money in the Bank. A couple of months later, AJ again got the better of Cena at SummerSlam.
John Cena’s success against AJ Styles
John Cena’s first win against AJ Styles came in the 2017 Royal Rumble in a WWE Championship contest. The next year, Cena defeated Styles in a SmackDown episode. Cena also has an upper hand over Styles in the non-televised games with a 16-1 lead. He has also bagged 12 of 13 contests with different allies in their tag team face-offs.
Cena will retire from WWE in December 2025. He will conclude his distinguished wrestling career which completed 23 years in June 2002. In his distinguished career, Cena has won 17 WWE Championship titles and three WWE Heavyweight Championships.
