After claiming the Asia Cup 2025 title, followed by a 2-0 series clean sweep against West Indies, the Indian cricket team will now take on Australia in a white-ball series, comprising of three ODIs followed by five T20I matches. The series will kickstart from October 19 with the first ODI set to be played at the Perth Stadium, the T20I leg will commence from October 29.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated series, two veterans of the sport Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have also begun their training. The two senior duos, who will take the field after almost seven months after last playing in Indian colours in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, they will return for the ODI series.

Days ahead of the series opener, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli stepped
on the field for their final preparations. In the Indian team’s first net session in Australia, both trained side by side after landing Down Under with the first batch. The veterans trained for close to 30 minutes whereas Rohit Sharma was also seen having a chat with head coach Gautam Gambhir.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli, who was training all this while in the UK, was spotted chatting with bowling coach Morne Morkel before sharing a light-hearted moment with Arshdeep Singh.
