Leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been released from the Indian squad amidst the ongoing T20I series in Australia. Notably, the Men in Blue are currently playing in a five-match T20I series against the Aussies
down under. The series is currently levelled at 1-1 with Australia and India winning a match each with one game getting washed. Now, with two matches remaining in the series, the Indian team has decided to release Kuldeep from the T20I series.
The management wants Kuldeep Yadav to join the India A squad as they are scheduled to face South Africa A in the second unofficial Test match at Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru starting on November 6. Kuldeep played the first two matches of the series where he didn’t get a chance to bowl in the first match due to rain. In the second match, Kuldeep went expensive as he took two wickets by 45 runs in 3.2 overs.
Kuldeep Yadav now focuses on South Africa Tests
Notably, after the end of the Australia tour, India will host South Africa in an all-format series starting with a two-match Test series on November 14. Before that, the India A is taking on South Africa A in the ongoing two-match unofficial Test series, India A won the first match by three wickets. Now, Kuldeep Yadav will be seen playing for India A in the second unofficial Test match against South Africa which will also be a part of his preparation for the Test series against Proteas.
