During the 18th over of the game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru
and Mumbai Indians, there was a mix-up between Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir. Krunal Pandya hit the ball straight up in the air and it was caught by Naman Dhir but he threw it back inside for Tilak Varma to catch it, but he couldn’t get to it. There was a quarrel between the two after the incident as Tilak Varma didn’t pick the ball and throw it.The misunderstanding between the two was that Tilak Varma thought that Naman Dhir had hit the boundary ropes with his boots. But in fact, the sound came from his shoes hitting together and not from hitting the boundary ropes. There were no runs taken as Krunal Pandya was caught with a cramp and he was struggling to move. However, it did
not matter much in the grand scheme of things as the duo hugged each other after the incident and no runs were taken off the horrific fielding misunderstanding.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru survive a tense chase to reach the top of the table with Mumbai Indians being eliminated
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru seemed to be throwing the game away at one moment with many wickets lost in the most important phase of the game. Jacob Bethell and Krunal Pandya did a good job to hold the innings for the defending champions. Bethell would not have played the innings he would love to as he scored 27 off just 27 balls and he couldn’t convert it into a big score. Krunal Pandya played a sensational knock of 73 off just 46 balls, 4 fours and 5 sixes, at a strike rate of 158. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be elated with the result they have got but they will have plenty to think about their batting performance as they have taken an easy chase to the last ball of the game.
The Mumbai Indians have been officially eliminated from the season and this game would arguably be one of the best games of this season so far. Bhuvneshwar Kumar plucked the game out of nowhere and that will be one six that he would savour for the rest of his career. Take nothing away from Krunal Pandya as he played one of the most crucial innings of his career for RCB. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have climbed to the top of the table with a last-ball victory and they have put one foot into the playoffs.
