Portugal Legend Cristiano Ronaldo rolled back the years with a spectacular overhead bicycle kick for Saudi side Al Nassr in a 4-1 win. The stunning strike was Ronaldo’s 954th career goal and was similar to his iconic bicycle kick for Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match against Juventus in 2018. in Riyadh left Ronaldo’s side four points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League after nine matches.
Cristiano Ronaldo met a cross from the right wing with an acrobatic volley that was too fierce for the goalkeeper to keep out, with the goal crowning Al Nassr’s 4-1 win over Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League. Fans went crazy and social media was full of videos of that goal. Ronaldo definitely enjoyed that one and doing such stuff at the age of 40 just shows the talent and greatness of arguably one of the best player on the planet.
2. Carlos Alcaraz stages stunning comeback to beat Jannik Sinner in French Open Final
For three hours and 43 minutes Sinner had dominated Alcaraz and he earned three championship points while leading 5-3 in set four. Jannik Sinner had multiple championship points and it looked all but over for Carlos Alcaraz. Instead what followed was something out of this world.
It would take another hour and 46 minutes for a winner to be decided on Court Philippe-Chatrier in June. What unfolded was one of the greatest comebacks and matches as Alcaraz returned from the abyss to produce an astounding 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2) victory.
For hours Alcaraz had been outhit and outplayed by his biggest rival and the then world No 1 in a major final. His dire unforced errors to fall 0-40 down at 3-5 in set four and then to comeback from there and win the match was something that looked impossible and Alcaraz just did the unthinkable. Not many in the stadium believed a comeback was possible but Carlos Alcaraz proved it and won Roland Garros.
3. Lando Norris wins 2025 F1 Championship
Lando Norris captured his first ever Formula 1 world championship in the final race of 2025, completing a comeback in a captivating and unpredictable season. Lando Norris finished ahead of rivals Max Verstappen of Red Bull and Oscar Piastri of McLaren in the standings after all three entered the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with a chance of becoming the world champion. With this win, Norris ended Max Verstappen’s four-year reign of world championships.
He also became the first British F1 champion since Lewis Hamilton in 2020. It is also McLaren’s first drivers championship since 2008. Last year, when Norris lost the championship to Verstappen. He boldy made a statement “Next year is going to be my year.” And he proved it right. 2025 belonged to him
