Following the superb batting display in English conditions, he is expected to continue his form in the home season as well.
On the second day of the game,KL Rahul displayed composure and scored his second Test ton on home soil. His last century in India against England in Chennai in December 2016. After completing his century, the 33-year-old was seen celebrating in a unique way. He raised his bat and put his fingers in his mouth. After the day’s play, when he was asked about the new celebration, he dedicated it to his daughter. "It was for my daughter," said the right-handed Test opener.
KL Rahul relishing his time as a batter in different conditions
KL Rahul also added that he is enjoying batting in different conditions. He said he had a great time in England as well. "I'm really enjoying my batting. Playing in different conditions. England was fun. Obviously, getting runs there gives you a lot of confidence, and coming into this game, with some runs behind me also helped, and, just feeling fresher after a longish break after the series, and,I really enjoyed being back," added Rahul.
Following the West Indies series, India will square off against South Africa for a couple of Tests to be played next month at home.
